QUALCOMM’s gpsOne® position-location technology enables highly accurate, widely available position-location technology to be deployed on mobile devices. Currently the world’s most broadly deployed position-location solution, gpsOne creates a synergistic relationship between wireless networks and Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites to create a precise positioning service that is available even in traditionally "invisible" areas.
The gpsOne solution is fully integrated into QUALCOMM chipset solutions to provide wireless device manufacturers with the ability to offer gpsOne without the need for additional hardware or software. Both a product- and service-differentiating opportunity, the gpsOne solution enables location-based services ranging from productivity enhancements, entertainment applications, and navigation capabilities to asset management software and geographic information access.
