New hard reset option after installing LifeDrive Update
After you install the LifeDrive Update, you are given a new option when you hard reset. This feature is not documented but it is available if you know the trick
Before the update you had three options:
* Up: Quick Erase (Program Memory and Internal Drive)
* Down: Secure Erase (Program Memory and Internal Drive)
* Center: Cancel
After the update you have four options:
* Up: Quick Erase (Program Memory only)
* Left: Quick Erase (Program Memory and Internal Drive)
* Down: Secure Erase (Program Memory and Internal Drive)
* Center: Cancel
The new reset option allows you to keep your digital music, pictures, videos and other items stored on the Internal Drive, even when you perform a hard reset. The new option only affects Program Memory in your device.
Важный момент:
Вобщем надо делать бекап перед апдейтом, при этом данные на винте не стираются.Caution: This update will erase all data in Program Memory. Read the instructions in the installer carefully; they will guide you through backing up and restoring your personal data.
