На сколько помню MFC это поддерживает автоматически. Если проект Windows application, то в функции "BOOL InitInstance(HINSTANCE hInstance, int nCmdShow)" которая создаётса если выбрать "Typical HelloWorld application" создаётса такой кусок кода:
